Activities
A full listing of available activities can be found on the Kiawah Island Golf Resort website. These activities include golf, a five-star spa, beaches, pools, bike rides, tennis/pickleball, water sports, fishing, and more.

Golf
Kiawah Island is known for golf. On the resort, you will find (5) courses, including The Ocean Course, one of the most difficult courses in the United States and home to the 2021 PGA Championship.

Please note tee times should be booked well in advance to ensure availability. If planning on booking golf, please check in with Nick or Christina first as we will attempt to plan groupings together when possible.

Getting Around Kiawah
Guests staying at the Sanctuary and resort Villas receive shuttle service from the resort to all sites within Kiawah Island. Please anticipate ordering a shuttle in advance during peak hours.
Getting There
By Flight
The closest airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS) which is a 40-minute drive from Kiawah Island. Rideshare services are available at the airport. Transportation from Kiawah Island to the airport can also be arranged through the accommodations below.
Ground Transportation
While rideshare services are available from CHS to Kiawah Island, they are unavailable on Kiawah. For the return trip from Kiawah to CHS, we recommend a car service which can be arranged through the resort.

While staying at the resort, guests are provided shuttle services between on-property amenities.
​
Transportation will be provided between Kiawah Island and St. Mary of the Annunciation in Charleston on May 30.

If you plan on traveling off-property during your stay or would like additional flexibility, car rentals are available at CHS.
Accommodations
The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
The Sanctuary is a five-star resort offering traditional hotel-style accommodations. Please note that while shuttles are available for all guests on the resort, staying at the Sanctuary is slightly more convenient as a concierge is on site.
Kiawah Island Villas
The resort operates numerous homes, villas, and condos available for rent. These range is size and homes are available that could accommodate larger families.
